USE OF MIXTURES OF POLYMERS DERIVED FROM LACTIC ACIDS IN THE PREPARATION OF BIORESORBABLE MEMBRANES FOR GUIDED TISSUE REGENERATION, PARTICULARLY IN PERIODONTOLOGY

Use, for the preparation of an implantable membrane based on poly(lactic acid) intended to enhance the regeneration of the periodontal tissue and/or the maxillae according to the technique of guided tissue regeneration, of a mixture of a first amorphous poly(lactic acid) having a molecular mass of at least 20.000 and a second amorphous poly(lactic acid) having a molecular mass not exceeding 5.000, said mixture comprising a proportion of said second poly(lactic acid) to produce a membrane having the desired flexibility at a temperature not exceeding 37 °C. Said membrane is bioresorbable and does not cause inflammatory or allergic reactions.
