BINDING SUSPENSION, A PROCESS AND DEVICE FOR OBTAINING THE SAME, AND THE USE OF THE SAID BINDING SUSPENSION IN A COATING TO PREVENT METAL PENETRATION, IN A COMPOUND FOR CLEANING SANITARY EQUIPMENT AND IN A MIXTURE FOR PRODUCING BUILDING MATERIALS

The proposed binding suspension contains a silica containing substance (84.0 to 86.0 wt %), a starch containing substance (0.5 to 0.8 wt %), liquid phase sodium silicate (0.1 to 0.3 wt %), and water (the remainder). The proposed process for obtaining the said binding suspension involves feeding the above mentioned components in batches into a processing area, grinding them at a temperature of 80 to 100 °C, discharging a quantity of the finished suspension equal to 40 to 80 % of the weight of the raw materials originally fed in, and feeding in a further quantity of raw materials equal to that discharged in the preceding cycle. The proposed device to be used in producing the binding suspension comprises a rotating drum (1) with feed and discharge devices (6 and 8 respectively) and comminuting units (4). The feed unit (6) comprises at least one hopper (15) rigidly mounted on the intake collar (5) of the drum (1) above a guide trough. The discharge unit (8) comprises at least one hopper (19) rigidly mounted on the inside of the outlet collar (7) on the end face of which and facing outwards is mounted a shut-off valve (21). Also proposed are a coating to prevent metal penetration, a compound for cleaning sanitary equipment and a mixture for producing building materials, in all of which the proposed binding suspension is the basic constituent.
