Process for the manufacture of microcapsules of hydrophobic oils with the aid of aminoplastic resins, in which, to begin with, the oil to be microencapsulated is emulsified with the aid of fine mineral powders, especially alumina hydrate. The quality of the microcapsules obtained is very uniform and relatively insensitive to the aging of the intermediate emulsions.
