Monoclonal antibodies to ELAM-1 sialoglycoprotein antigen on the surface of activated endothelial cells

Monoclonal antibodies are produced that bind specifically to the N-terminal 20% of ELAM-1 sialoglycoprotein antigen present on the surface of IL-1 activated endothelial cells. The monoclonal antibodies and antigens are useful in the preparation of a medicament for treating inflammatory responses associated with activated endothelial cells, and for diagnosing inflammatory responses.
