Cosmetic composition for coloring hair and skin and for UV-protection

A composition for colouring the hair or skin containing as active ingredient the product of the reaction between an alkyl ester of the formula: wherein R = C₁₋₆ alkyl, tyrosinase and optionally cysteine. The composition additionally offers sun shielding against UVA and UVB radiation. The active ingredient is able to bind to skin or hair protein so enhancing the longevity of the colour produced.
