摘要
A matrix composite reinforced glass fiber comprises a glass matrix and a plurality of primary and secondary reinforcing fibers dispersed in the matrix. The secondary reinforcing fibers are shorter than the primary fibers. The composite may be produced by uniform distribution of secondary reinforcing fibers in a dispersant. a glass powder is mixed in a carrier liquid to create a slurry, and slowly added the secondary reinforcing fibers and dispersant to said slurry so the fibers uniformly disperse as they are added. One can also add a binder to said slurry. Impregnating a continuous fiber from said slurry, and drying the impregnated fiber to extract the carrier liquid. the impregnated yarn is cut to a suitable length and molded by an appropriate molding method to form a matrix composite glass fiber-reinforced.
