Isocyanate-terminated prepolymers derived from polyether polyol mixtures having low mono-content and their use in polyurethanes

An isocyanate-terminated prepolymer derived from a polyether polyol mixture having a low mono-content is disclosed. This prepolymer is moisture cured or long stretched to produce a polyurethane having improved tensile strength, tear strength and reduced stress upon high elongation. The polyether polyol mixture has a monol content of less than about 15 mole% and an average hydroxyl functionality in the range of about 1.9 to about 2.4.
