Novel rhodium-containing selective catalysts for the synthesis of epoxy siloxane / epoxy silicone monomers and polymers

The present invention relates to a process for the production of an epoxy silicone product which does not promote the oxirane ring-opening reaction of the ethylenically unsaturated epoxide initiating compound or the epoxy silicone hydrosilylation reaction product in the hydrosilylation reaction between the ethylenically unsaturated epoxide and the SiH-A rhodium-containing selective catalyst catalyzes to provide a process for preparing a curable epoxy silicone composition. The present invention also provides a curable epoxy silicone composition prepared by the process, a catalyst and two methods of producing the catalyst.
