SUBSTANCE: method involves the steps of: taking samples of brown coal ashes, carrying out chemical analysis for free calcium oxide in initial ash and in ash after its grinding to specific surface of 800-1000 squared cm/g, then determining free calcium oxide in initial ash as a function of free calcium oxide open or closed by glass phase in ash after grinding, and finally determining free calcium oxide closed by glass phase of ash of a batch to be analyzed from the obtained relationship. EFFECT: simplified method.
