METHOD OF DETERMINATION OF GAS PRESSURE IN METHANE-BEARING COAL SEAM

FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of borehole down to its crossing with coal seam with later gas-tight taking a coal sample with gas-and-core lifter and measurement of temperature of seam. Seam pressure is determined by solution of quantity equation establishing interdependence between natural-bearing capacity determined under laboratory conditions and gas pressure in coal seam. EFFECT: facilitated analysis of methane content in coal seam.
