FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: new method comprises steps of artificial pulmonary ventilation and registration of external respiration function parameters and measuring magnitudes of resistance to expiration and expansibility of lungs. When resistance to expiration increased 1.5 to 2.0 times and amount of expansibility of lungs decreased 1.5 to 2.0 times, as compared with initial values, autosurfactant was administered intratracheally. Said autosurfactant was derived from bronchoalveolar surface layer of intact lung prior to operation, enriched with phospholipoids, passed through abacterial filter and kept at temperature of -3 to -5 C. Before being administered, said autosurfactant was heated to room temperature and then inserted into respiratory tracts of operated patient in amount of 15 to 25 ml.
