FIELD: hydraulic-engineering structures. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic-engineering gate has: a carrying construction, joined to foundation or piers of hydraulic-engineering construction by hinge supports; a water resistant casing, fixed to the carrying construction; gaskets. The carrying construction is made in the form of a horizontally placed arch. Its abutments are made as rigid beams, that are passing along the whole arch length. The abutments rest on slots of foundations and piers and their axes are orientated in parallel to the arch span. EFFECT: weight of hydraulic-engineering gate is decreased and duration of its exploitation is increased. 2 dwg
