The existence of an acute surgical abdominal disease is recognized with the presence of two or more of the following diagnostic signs: abdominal pain increase, dry tongue, high tension of anterior abdominal wall muscles, and positive Shchyotkin-Blumberg symptom. With the absence of the above-mentioned symptoms, acute surgical abdominal diseases are ruled out, and with the presence of one of the symptoms another examination is prescribed.
