SUBSTANCE: method involves exciting vibrations of supports by directional force on running turbine unit alternately in two relatively perpendicular directions on each support in succession with a frequency equal to the rotation speed of turbine unit shaft. Then amplitudes and phases of vibration motions of supports are measured. Additionally, amplitudes and phases of vibration motions of turbine unit supports and journals are measured until vibrations of rotor supports are excited by directional force. Obtained data are used to determine the dynamic characteristics of supports and oil layer in bearings. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
