A composition for stimulating chondrocytes and osteoblasts, a method for producing it from bones from fetal to approximately twelve month old mammals, and pharmaceutical products for the prophylaxis and treatment of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis and in healing bone fractures, cartilage defects and bone defects are described.
