A method for fixing a mirror to a support and its implementation device. It consists of two profiles (1, 2) which fit into each other and, once fitted into each other, form an unequal U-shaped profile (3), the mutual fitting of the male profile (2) and of the female profile (1) making it possible to compensate for the deviations from squareness over the height and to have a tolerance of a few centimetres over the cutting height, teeth or retention notches (4) are provided in the design of the male and female profiles in order to facilitate mutual fitting and holding.
