Laboratory test-tube shaker (10) has a swing plate (11) able to be set in orbital motion by an eccentric (12) rotated by a drive (13,14) around a vertical axis, and having a horizontal base plate (18). Between the swing plate (11) and base plate (18) at least two vertically spaced apart dampers are arranged, with a counter-weight (25) located below the lower damper (21) and connected to the upper damper (20), and the the dampers are elastically interconnected (29).
