The appts., which is charged from a compressed air supply, is separated from the supply whilst the tyres are inflated. It has a compressed air container, a pressure sensor (3) and valves for allowing air into and out of a connected tyre. The compressed air container is entirely in the form of a shaped tube (1), part of which is shaped to form a foot. One end of the tube forms a yoke via which the appts. is suspended from the counter-valve of a pressure supply during charging. ADVANTAGE - Simplified construction.
