The test method involves vibration and/or acoustic analysis. The acoustic signals caused by switching impact at the contacts and a magnet armature are detected and discriminated from each other. Only the armature impact acoustic signal is evaluated. The detected signal is fed into an evaluation device by a contactless sensor which detects the sound in air or high frequency sound emissions or a contact sensor which detects the structure-borne sound or high frequency emissions. ADVANTAGE - Improved objectivity of test.
