Separation procedure for paper, foil and plastics items - involves separating into light and heavy fractions and then sucking items contg. foil out, and separating foil and paper by electrostatic separation
The procedure involves the following steps. Firstly there is a dynamic separation, by body form, into a light lamella fraction and a heavy solid lump fraction. Goods containing foil are sucked out of the light lamella fraction. From these foil items, foil and paper are separated by electrostatic separation. A sieve classification provides separation of the items which may only be used once from the rest. After vacuum separation and sieve classification, a further sorting as regards density is carried out. USE/ADVANTAGE - To separate sheet materials, disposable plastics dishes, plates and drinking cups. Allows for reuse of some goods.
