The bearing arrangement is for a paint roller. The roller (3) is cylindrical but has inwardly deformed portions (4) forming grooves near the ends. There is a bearing member (5) inside each end portion of the roller, with a flange (2) at each end. One of the two flanges is at the end of the tube, with a small clearance (6) between the edge of the flange and the inside of the tube. The other end is adjacent to the groove on the side toward the centre of the tube. There is a partition (9) on the side of the flange toward the centre of the tube, with a central hole (7).
