The arrangement contains a convolution device (15) which folds the Wigner distribution integral in the analogue signal domain. The signal under analysis is fed to both inputs of the convolution device, but is mixed with an oscillator signal before reaching one input (162). The oscillator signal represents the sweep frequency range. The output of the convolution device is connected to a detector (19). The lead to the second input can also contain a mixer connected to the oscillator to convert the mixer output signal to the convolution device's defined frequency range. USE/ADVANTAGE - Analysing frequency and time distribution of signal, e.g. for speech analysis. Enables rapid, economical two-dimensional representation of Wigner distribution.
