The cooling air circuit leads from an evaporator (4) and fan (5) to a forward opening (9) which extends along the edge of the display cabinet (1) visible to customers through a front window (2). The air is extracted through a rearward opening (3) along the back of the cabinet with a nearly vertical guiding wall (11) after passing over a 10 mm thick Al sheet (8) acting as a thermal buffer on the floor (7). The latter is cooled by the air blown through the duct (6) in the opposite direction. ADVANTAGE - Wares can be kept fresh and attractive over esp. long period without incurring high operational cost.
