A drive device is used to move the ignition control part (52) out of a safety position, in which the prodn. of ignition energy is prevented, into an activated position in which ignition energy can be provided, and also back again to the safety position. A safety device is provided for arresting the igniter control part (52) in its activated position. From the drive device a driver part (58a,58b,58c) is drivable, with which the igniter control part can be coupled for drive purposes. The safety device is operable by the driver part, arresting the igniter-control part in the activated position, releasing it before fresh movement by the driver part. The driver part is formed as a rotating, drivable cam disc with a control surface for operating the safety device dependent upon the rotary position of the cam disc and the ignition-control part is formed as a rotatable control rotor (52). USE/ADVANTAGE - An igniter for a mine with increased security of the igniter control part in the activated position.
