The auxiliary load can be a lighting system for illuminating the watch dial. A series circuit of a capacitor (C1) and a switch (S1) is connected in parallel with the battery and in parallel with the auxiliary load (H1). The latter, pref. a lamp consumes a similar amt. of current as the auxiliary device of the watch, e.g. buzzer. ADVANTAGE - Ensures that battery is not changed needlessly too early.
