Lattice girder with zigzag girder coil - is attached to U=section rods which are bent round at arm ends to secure bends of coil

The zigzag girder is fixed at its bends to belt section rods which have at least a deformable parallel aligned U-section (16) so that the coil fits with its bends into the U-sections. The connection is then secured by stamping the two arms (22) of each U-section (16) over the bends (18) of the coil. The connection could be made by rivets which adjoin the inner rounded area of each bend of the coil and extend crosswise between the two arms of each U-section. The U-sections are individual parts detachably fixed on the rods. USE/ADVANTAGE - Detachable connection allows easier transport and storage of lattice girder. Girder parts can be surface treated and finished prior to assembly.
