Delivery of plant protection agents to plant roots - comprises using biodegradable mats of e.g. cotton wool or flax soaked in the active agent and sprayed with biological binder material and buried near roots

Prodn. of the plant protection agent against mildew and the materials are supplied to the plant roots by a process which includes soaking 2 fibrous mats about 4 mm thick and about 2 x 2 cm in area and burying them in the vicinity of the roots. The mats are pref. of material which rots e.g. flax or cotton wool. Alternatively dung can be used as the material. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used to deliver active agents against mildew in gardens and vegetable gardens and to ensure that the active agents are not oxidised before up-take by the plants.
