The system has a fluid power valve (14) mounted on a manifold block (1) that has fluid distribution points (2) and electrical connections (3). Fluid channels (6) are provided for the input and output of signals. Internally the channels connect with the top surface (8) and the ports of the valve block. The ends of the valve are fitted with solenoids (22,23) and these have connecting pins (37,38). The electrical power to the pins is provided sockets (35) on the base that are engaged by the pins of a bridging connector (40). Internally this has conductors (53) coupled to sockets (46) that locate onto the solenoid pins. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for pneumatic machine control. Simplified mounting and removal of valves. Better sealing. Space for possible additional electrical circuitry is present.
