The articulator (1) has a bottom strut (2) and a foldable and removable top part (3), as well as a front side fin (14). The bottom strut and top part carry each a releasable basic socket plate (5, 6). Intermediate socket plates (7, 8) are connectable in a position oriented manner each to the top (5) and bottom basic socket plate (6). Pref. the basic and intermediate socket plates are coupled by magnets. To the basic socket plates are connectable position supports (9), each with a vertical support (12), a bearing arm (10), and a support arm (11).
