The spreader (25) has a hopper feed of material onto rotating discs to produce a controlled spreading pattern as the vehicle moves over the area to be treated. The display panel (18) provides a graphical display of the spreading vectors and also displays spreading rate and other parameters. The spreading pattern can be adjusted by a simple joystick control (20). The joystick is a multi-function control for the spatial distribution of the treated areas, the spreading rates, spreading width etc. A second display can provide a graphical display of the total area being treated. USE/ADVANTAGE - Agricultural field dressing, grit spreading on roads. Simple real time display to control spreading rates/pattern.
