Converting magnetic attraction into rotary movement of disc - by controlled sepn. of forces of attraction and repulsion between similarly shaped and sized sectors of rotor and stator.
Converting magnetic attraction into rotary movement of disc - by controlled sepn. of forces of attraction and repulsion between similarly shaped and sized sectors of rotor and stator.
A first gp. of permanent magnets (b), constituting uniformly spaced sectors of a circle surrounding a horizontal shaft (c) in a stationary upright frame (a), interacts with a second gp. of magnets (d) secured to the shaft itself. A thin disc with an equal number of magnetic sectors (e) interposed between the stator and rotor has the same polarity and is as closely coupled as possible to the other disc to perpetuate the rotation. ADVANTAGE - Rotational impulse can be propagated by suitable control of the abrupt switching of the magnetic attraction to generate useful power.
