The material overflow openings (11, 11a) connecting the central homogenisation chamber (8) with the ring chamber (10) are spread out over the entire height of the circumferential wall (9) of the homogenisation chamber and round the perimeter of this wall (9). The main silo base (3), the ring chamber base (12) and the homogenisation chamber base (13) have separate individually controllable ring ventilation faces (A,B,D,E) so that a first mixing zone is formed above the silo base, a second mixing zone is formed above the ring chamber base and a third mixing zone is formed above the homogenisation chamber base. The first two mixing zones operate discontinuously and the third mixing zone operates continuously. USE/ADVANTAGE - Improved uniform mixing of the material in a compact silo structure.
