The memory organisation method operates on an information transmission system network provides exchanges between a number of operating stations (1,2). The network connections can be provided by digital optical transmission lines that couple with a number of elements (131-13n,231-23n). Each of the elements contains a data processor (121-12n,221-22n). Additional processors (11,21) serve to detect, transfer and store monitoring and control information. The additional processors operate as master units coupled to the slaved unit processors and are coupled by internal busses (10,20). The address memories of the units are continuously organised to control access between units with minimum delay. ADVANTAGE - Reduced access cycle time.
