The solid blank workpiece (1) is subjected to boring pressure from both sides simultaneously, so that the forming dies (3) form counter dies for each other. The bore hollow is applied to such a depth that a solid material section (2) remains. The workpiece is clamped in the solid area after completion of the process. The torque is applied via the clamping point. The rotatory relative movement of the opposite roller units is opposing. USE/ADVANTAGE - For light-weight shafts. Partially solid workpiece area prevents deformation during gear cutting.
