The processing method involves providing time windows corresp. to max. and min. time values by a generator (3) in response to reception of an input pulse, with simultaneous transfer of the latter to the output. When the second pulse is received before the min. time has elapsed it is stored with subsequent transfer to the output after the min. time. The second pulse is transferred direct to the output when it occurs within the time window, with a replacement pulse provided when it fails to occur during the latter. Pref. the time windows are provided via a preset binary counter indexed via clock pulses, a monoflop, or via a microprocessor software programme. USE/ADVANTAGE - For providing output pulses with uniform pulse spacing. Ensures uniformity of pulse sequence used for operating scanning mirror of heat imager.
