The inner contour of the seat ring (14) is designed so that in the closing area independently of the position of the flap disc (2) in the sealing plane circular sections are produced through the seat ring whereby the centre of the sealing plane is always identical with the centre of the sections through the ring. The dia. of these sections decreases continuously with increasing closing movement until in the closed position the dia. of the sealing plane equals the dia. of the section through the seat ring (14). As the flap disc closes two circular sealing faces move concentrically towards each other. The seat ring (14) is firmly secured by a holding ring (15) in the housing (16).
