Processing paint residues contg. water or solvents involves; i) applying the residue onto a hot moving layer such as a conveyor belt or rotating disc (1); ii) heating the residue to a temp. below the decomposition temp. of the solid material; iii) recovering the evaporated solvent; iv) removing the remaining solid from the heated disc (1) or be v) milling the solid and/or dissolving the powder in solvent to produce new paint. USE/ADVANTAGE - For recycling solids and solvents of fluid or semi-solid paint residues. A simple process which can be used on both small and large scale.
