Appts. for thermally hardening the teeth of saw blades (22) comprises an induction device (10) made up of at least two loop-shaped conductio (14) spaced apart through which the part to be hardened is moved. ADVANTAGE - The magnetic field produced by the device (10) cuts perpendicularly through the teeth and produces eddy currents which avoid the overheating of the tip of the teeth and produces an automatic quenching effect.
