The flange-type edges (5) are formed as sealing lips (6) and on the sealing surfaces bearing rings (7,8) locate. The cage halves (3) and the formed sealing lips (6) are of different plastics, the cage halves being of a hard and wearproof plastic and the sealing lips (6) of a soft and elastic plastic. The cage halves (3) are of a glass fibre-reinforced polyamide, and the sealing lips are of an elastomer, e.g. polyurethane. The cage is prepd. by a two-component injection technique, and the sealing lips are double-formed. The bearing rings (7,8) are formed as discs, which have a wall thickness which is less than the dia. of the bearing balls (11). USE/ADVANTAGE - A roller bearing with a plastic cage. It unites in the one assembly the advantages of a hard and a soft plastic.
