Plastic injection moulding process - in which metal stamping is incorporated and produced during mould closure

In an injection moulding process for mfr. of plastic mouldings, a metal strip (7) is passed between a mould plate (1) and a further plate (9). A punch (11) projects from a further mould plate (10) and engages in a bore (12) of the plate (9). When the mould is closed, a stamping (6) is produced and is pushed through a bore (13) into the mould cavity, where it is held while plastic is injected round it. ADVANTAGE - Economical mfg. method.
