The containers, which can be stacked inside each other, have a base (4), four side walls (3) and a circumferential frame (2) with an associated movable stacking bar. Each stacking bar is provided on opposite sides of the frame, pref. on the narrow sides. The bars are pref. attached to the outside of the frame parallel to the upper edge. The stacking bar can be closed with its end sections housed hinge-like in two interchangeable hinged sleeves (7). The upper edge of the frame can have an outwardly projecting bead with a hollow or U-shaped profiled section.
