The roof tile is made of plastics or a similar material and acts as a carrier for a solar module or solar collector. The tile is exactly matched in size and shape to a group of the surrounding roof tiles and is fixed in position in the same way as the latter. Pref., the solar roof tile measures 2 roof tiles in width and 3 roof tiles in height, with a solar generator and/or collector mounted at its centre. The fixing bolts may be adjustable, to allow optimum alignment with the incident solar radiation. ADVANTAGE - Allows solar module or solar cell to be incorporated in roof without impairing original appearance or requiring special tools.
