The tested circuit board has groups of measurement points (M11,M12;M21,M22) on both sides. Substrate carriers (T1,T2) are arranged on both sides. Each carrier plate has gas discharge channels (Gk1,Gk2) with electrodes (E1,E2) corresp. to the measurement points of the corresp. sides of the board. A selected measurement point on one side and a connected point on the other side are contacted by corresp. gas discharge paths (Gs1,Gs2) in gas discharge channels connected in series. The gas discharge paths are triggered by applying a high voltage to the two electrodes. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use with miniaturised boards with reduced interstitial scaling. Enables contactless testing of both sides of circuit board, including through contacts, using gas discharge paths.
