The shoulder support has a housing (1), a camera mounting plate (3) and a telescopic carrier tube on a handgrip (7) attached to the front end of the housing. The handgrip is pivoted and adjustable about an axis which is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the housing. Pref. the handgrip has a U-shaped cross-section and can be folded when not in use to fit around the housing. The camera mounting plate is fitted to the housing via an adaptor plate (5) which can pivot about an axis perpendicular to the housing axis. ADVANTAGE - Good matching to operating needs of user.
