In a process and assembly to remove a fluid contg. chlorinated organic cpds. from a substance, some of the substance is broken down by heat treatment within sections of an assembly (1) and soaked by fluid to liberate process gas contg. HCl and organochlorine cpds. The process gas is at least partly condensed by cooling (4) and the resulting condensate is disposed of by high temp. treatment. Uncondensed fractions can pref. be retained by an aerosol separator (7) and an active C filter (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - The process and assembly remove fluids contg. organochlorine cpds. from an assembly. The process is simple and environmentally friendly.
