Aq. liq. body-cleansing compsns. contain 5-50 wt.% anionic surfactant(s) and 0.05-5 wt.% of at least one long-chain alkylmethicone copolyol of formula Me3Si(OSi(Me)(R))x(OSi(Me)(R1))yOSiMe3 (I) wherein R = 8-20C alkyl; R1 = a polyether gp. comprising 1-60 ethylene oxide (EO) and/or propylene oxide (PO) units; and x and y = 1-500. (I) has R = cetyl, lauryl or cocoyl; x = 60-245; y = 1-25; and R1 = (EO)12, (EO)18(PO)18, (EO)24(PO)24 or (CH2)nO(EO)m(PO)zX, where n = 0-5, m+z = 1-60 and X = H or 1-4C alkyl. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsns. may be formulated as foam baths, shower baths or shampoos. The compsns. form stable foams and have a good skin- and hair-conditioning effect, esp. imparting a soft and supple feel to dry hair.
