Automatic stacking of sheets sepd. by suction from conveyor belt - by partial overlapping of successive sheets advanced so that each sheet peels its predecessor away from vacuum duct
Automatic stacking of sheets sepd. by suction from conveyor belt - by partial overlapping of successive sheets advanced so that each sheet peels its predecessor away from vacuum duct
The sheets (1) delivered from a printing or processing machine (3) are forwarded (4) at uniform spacing (D) to a vacuum conveyor belt (5) moving at e.g. one-third speed (V6) towards the stacking appts. (20). The leading sheet of the now overlapped sequence is guided to a stop (24) where the following sheet is pushed between it and the sepn. belt under a vacuum duct (9) connected to a suction joint (11). The underlying first sheet is thereby sepd. from the suction and falls into the stacking receptacle (30) through an optical barrier (37') controlling the suction flap (38). USE/ADVANTAGE - With printed, varnished or coated sheets of paper, larger number of sheets can be stacked with high precision.
