Each section of a two-layer conveyor belt assembly for granular bulk solids runs over two direction-reversing roller units. The novelty is that the endless conveyor belt (1) consists of a sequence of linked discrete folding segments (2) held within a folding frame (3); further that the individual segments can be lifted by a mechanism (10, 12, 13, 14) on one side to drop the solids onto a transport assembly (5, 6) below; further that the segments (1) are then folded back into the horizontal position by a pressure mechanism (10, 16, 17, 18). The leading edge (7) individual belt (1) segments (2) fold on a pin (8) against the folding frame (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - The conveyor assembly transports bulk solid grains during drying operations and drops them onto a lower level.
