The circulation pump which delivers independently of rotation direction, has a pump chamber (6) with impeller (4) and an axial inlet centrally located on the front face. The outlet is tangential to the chamber walls and is tapered (10). It is divided into two channels by a guide wall (7). The chamber walls themselves are slightly elliptical in contour with respect to the impeller axis, there being the greatest clearance at a point (3b) diametrically opposite the guide plate in the outlet and the least clearance at 90 degrees in either direction from this. The minimum cross-section of each of the tapered outlet channels is about equal to that of I/D of the outlet union. ADVANTAGE - Reliable with good delivery.
