The ultrasonic disintegrator converts electrical energy into mechanical oscillation by active piezoelements (1). The elements are galvanically isolated from the vibrators (2) and mechanical coupling elements (5) by electrically insulated plates (3) which have no piezoelectric properties and are resistant to pressure and vibration. To avoid stray leakage currents the insulating plates are duplicated and sepd. by conductive interlayers (4) connected to the positive pole of a DC supply, and mfd. either of springy sheet metal or as coatings on the plates themselves. ADVANTAGE - Miniaturised powerful and easily transportable disintegrator is realised without use of transformers for potential sepn.. Improved electrical inefficiency and less consequential heating.
